There are several tasks that need to be completed before laying a patio.
The ground needs to be prepared correctly and levelled. Normally the foundation is dug to 150 mm then a compacted sub-base of 100 mm is prepared, the area is then covered with concrete mix, patio slabs are then placed leaving 10-15 mm until the whole are is covered.
The gaps between each slab is then filled with remaining concrete mix.
